About Me

 I’m an emerging artist with a Fine art background. 

As well as teaching art full time, I have started to work on my own practice developing my style of work from my home studio space in North London.

A few years ago I bought a handheld weaving loom and taught myself how to weave tapestries. I had a memory of weaving in school and really enjoying it so I delved into my experience of creating woven wall hangings, experimenting with different techniques and varying textured yarns. 

Each one of my pieces is a one of a kind handmade wall hanging. 

My creative journey is ongoing and in the last year I have been exploring paper collage. Using different types of papers I build the image layering shapes and colours. I mostly use magazine and found papers however I also hand dye papers with inks and experiment with techniques adding further depth to the pieces. 

I recently moved and my new home is quite high up and surrounded by trees, mostly Pines. The variation of birds is great, from Goldfinches and Song thrush to Parakeets and many more. I have been inspired by birds and nature but also reflect on my ongoing interest into the spiritual world. I’m interested in Mythology, Folklore, emotions and dreams, and have always felt drawn to the energy of the moon which has also inspired my recent works. My practice however, is an ongoing journey and as I develop through my creative process, my sources of inspiration also grows.
